Therapy for adults recovering from codependency, people-pleasing, and emotionally abusive relationships.
About Cassie Renz, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in codependency, emotionally abusive relationships, and narcissistic abuse recovery
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) helping adults heal from codependency, people-pleasing, and emotionally abusive or narcissistic relationships.
This is the part where therapists usually list credentials and training right away, and I will, but first, I want to talk about you.
Because therapy isn’t really about my resume. It’s about your healing, your growth, and your readiness to change patterns that no longer serve you.
Who I Work With
I specialize in working with adults who feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns.
Many of the people I work with are:
recovering from emotionally abusive or narcissistic relationships
struggling with codependency and chronic people-pleasing
experiencing relationship burnout, anxiety, or loss of identity
learning how to set boundaries without guilt or fear
If you’ve felt invisible in relationships, overly responsible for other people’s emotions, or worn down by constant over-giving, you’re in the right place.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. Therapy works best when you’re willing to show up with openness, honesty, and a willingness to examine long-standing patterns. I won’t sugarcoat the process because it takes courage and effort, but you won’t be doing it alone.
How Therapy With Me Works
In therapy, we explore how your past continues to shape your present, especially how early emotional wounds, attachment patterns, and learned survival strategies may still influence your thoughts, reactions, and relationships today.
Whether you’re healing from narcissistic abuse, rebuilding self-worth after years of people-pleasing, or learning how to stop abandoning yourself to keep the peace, therapy can help you:
identify and change deeply ingrained relationship patterns
challenge beliefs that developed from emotional trauma
reconnect with your needs, values, and inner voice
develop healthy boundaries and balanced relationships
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you reconnect with who you already are beneath the anxiety, guilt, and self-doubt.
Doing Things Differently
If you’re here, chances are you’re looking for real change. You want to feel more grounded, more confident, and more at peace in your relationships and in yourself.
Change doesn’t happen by repeating the same patterns that led to emotional exhaustion and self-betrayal.
Therapy is about doing things differently, learning to trust yourself, set boundaries, and show up in your life in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

A Little More About Me
